We're here to help
Support for better play.
Geitin is a simple, local-first scoreboard for groups — in Icelandic and English.
Get the app
Download Geitin on the App Store — free, no ads, no sign-up. Android is in testing; see below.
How do I start?
Create a group and add the people you play with. Then tap the + button and pick what you're playing — a card game, head-to-head, golf, something for time, or a plain point counter. Score it, save it, and the group leaderboard updates.
Can I change a group after I make it?
Yes. Open the group and tap the pencil icon. You can rename the group, rename members, add people, and remove people. If someone who has already played is removed, their past games are kept and they move to "Former members" — you can bring them back at any time.
How does sharing work?
Open a group, tap Share group, and send the code. Whoever pastes it under "Import group" gets the group on their phone. Send an updated code later and any new games merge into their copy — nothing is duplicated and nothing is lost.
Do scores sync between phones automatically?
Not yet. Geitin is local-first: everything lives on your own device, and sharing is something you do deliberately with a code. Live sync across devices is something we're looking at for the future.
Can we play in teams?
Yes — card games and the point counter both have a Teams option, and head-to-head is built around two sides. A team win counts for everyone on that team.
I lost my games
Because nothing is stored on our servers, we cannot recover data from a lost or reset phone. If you're moving to a new device, share the group code to yourself first and import it on the new phone.
Android
Geitin is coming to Android and we're running a closed test first. If you'd like to help, join the testers group from the Android test page — we need a handful of people playing real games before it can go live.
